Kaushik Roy

Purdue's Distinguished Professor of electrical and computer engineering and whose lab made spiking networks trainable at depth. Directed the Center for Brain-Inspired Computing and now runs the Institute of CHIPS and AI; his lab's line from spike-based backpropagation to in-memory computing is the academic base of the neuromorphic strand.
